One day a little blue horse escapes from one of Mr Kandinsky’s paintings… That’s how this story begins. The little blue horse becomes his companion for better and for worse. Thanks to the things the horse whispers in his ear, Mr Kandinsky will start to make new paintings – paintings like the world has never seen before. And then, one day, the horse is gone. Mr Kandinsky mourns the loss of his friend…
Multi-talented, award-winning author and illustrator Daan Remmerts de Vries actually wanted to become a musician. He wrote and played his own music and tried to make a go of it. When this didn’t work, he decided to start writing. Since then, Remmerts de Vries has written and illustrated dozens of books and has won two ‘Vlag en Wimpel’ awards, a Golden Slate Pencil and a Silver Slate Pencil. He also writes for adults.
