A donkey sets off on a journey with a friend. One day, his travelling companion falls to the ground and never gets up. The donkey cries inconsolably. When he rubs the tears from his eyes, he sees a rock where his friend once lay. The donkey puts the rock in a basket and continues his journey alone with the heavy stone
on his back. At first, all he feels is sadness. Sometimes he is distraught or even gets angry with the stone….
But the little donkey does not give up. He starts talking to his rock and after a while he even begins to cherish his new friend a little.
One day, the rock is gone. At the bottom of the basket, there is a sparkling diamond…
