Jodocus

Jodocus and Sarah are in the middle of Shanghai.
A bustling city full of tall buildings.
“Well, well,” mutters Sarah. “Here we are. Now what?”
“A restaurant,” says Jodocus.
“A restaurant with rice!”

The bus Jodocus is riding in gets a flat tire, and all the passengers fall over. Sarah helps him up, and they decide that the next day they’ll take the bus… to China. Why? Because Jodocus loves rice!
Jodocus and Sarah soon find themselves in a whimsical adventure in Shanghai, involving a grumpy dragon and a city in need of help. Full of humor and heart, this imaginative story invites young readers to look beyond appearances and discover the value of kindness.

Margarit Groothedde and Philip Hopman’s (@philiphopman) charming tale is a beautiful celebration of friendship and the magic of saying “yes” to the unexpected.
