Paola de Narváez lives in Brussels, Paris and Colombia. She found the inspiration for her first picture book, Roaring in the Night, in the Colombian jungle. This colourful book contrasts with her second picture book, which is influenced by Japanese aesthetics. Paola de Narváez studied graphic design and graphic textile printing at the Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris and graphic communication at La Cambre in Brussels. She works with paint and brush as well as digital and has a remarkable feeling for strong colour combinations.
