Connie Snoek

Connie Snoek’s love for illustrating began when she worked as a theatre-maker. She had her own children’s puppet theatre company and designed scenery, costumes and puppets. She also wrote the stories.
In 2009 she decided to start illustrating children’s books. Connie is self-taught and lives in the countryside in the south of the Netherlands.

Connie’s work has been exhibited in various countries. Her first picture book Kaila the Lion Tamer was published by De Vier Windstreken in 2016. In 2017 she published Cas the Kat, a picture book that she both wrote and illustrated and that was developed in collaboration with the KattenKabinet museum in Amsterdam. She received an Honorable Mention for Cas the Cat from 3×3 Magazine of Contemporary Illustration in New York.
