Harm de Jonge

Harm de Jonge initially worked as a teacher. His first book was published in 1989. He has currently written over twenty books, among which are several award winners. Josja Pruis (2007) won the Woutertje Pieterse Prize for high-quality children’s literature and Vuurbom (Firebomb) was awarded the Silver Pencil in 2012.

In 2014 Harm de Jonge was invited by Stichting CPNB, the main Dutch organization for the promotion of books in The Netherlands, to write the annual Children’s Book Gift (title: Zestig Spiegels/ Sixty Mirrors) in a print run of 365.000 copies.
