Charlotte Dematons is one of the most appreciated and loved Dutch Children’s books illustrators, as well as with the critics as with the general public.
She received a Golden Pencil for her book Sinterklaas and Silver Pencils for Nederland (The Netherlands) and her illustrations for the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales. She has illustrated numerous children’s books and rights of her work have been sold to many countries.
Charlotte Dematons is especially known for her detailed pencil drawings and naturalistic illustrations as well as for their dreamlike atmosphere.
